Also, what was with the robot cat? Why did I need to fix it? I kept mixing the right ratio and backing away from the table thinking Nancy would take it, only to have to remake the entire thing over and over again. My only complaint is that I didn't know you had to pour your chemical solution into a brown bottle. I like the puzzles! I played on master detective (my first time actually beating a game on master detective haha) so I made my own task list and note sheet again ( ). I will admit that once I got to Niko's secret lab I had to start looking at a tutorial because I had no clue what I was supposed to do. You spend so much time getting evidence on Ryan, it would've been nice to have more clues other than the end of the game when the paper falls out of Niko's cabinet. I do like the culprit reveal, I think they had a solid motive but I would've liked documents or conversations with other characters to add more clues to the real culprit. I went the whole game only talking to Victor when the game made me only because he doesn't come across as a very interesting personality either. Her motorcycle seemed kind of random, though - I was waiting for that to come up in the story to get somewhere, get stolen, broken, etc. Ryan, on the other hand, is probably the most memorable and I love her all over the place personality. Talking with Gray is also fun, but not particularly memorable. I'm pretty neutral on Ellie, other than finding the letter and stealing from her desk her character doesn't really add anything to the story. To me, he usually comes across as not genuinely mean, just greatly exaggerated and dramatic, like when he replies with "UGH" all dramatic only to smile at the end. Other than getting to see Ellie's letter and Gray's degree you really don't know much about anyone.Īs for characters, my absolute favorite is Deirdre. However, I do wish you got to know more about each character and their personality, personal life, etc. I really like talking to characters, so going back and forth to talk with different suspects is fun for me.
I enjoyed this game a lot more than I expected to! This is my second time playing it and I did remember the real culprit and most of the plot.
